Deciding to say goodbye to a pet is one of the hardest things any owner has to do. The Vet 2 Go was built specifically for this moment — not as one service among many, but as our whole focus. We come to your home in Barnsley and the surrounding areas, so your pet's last experience is a familiar room, their own bed, and the people they love around them, not a car journey and a clinic.

We talk through your pet's situation, gently and without pressure — including if you're not sure yet whether it's time.

We arrange a visit.

Often the same day, always at a time that gives you space, never rushed.

A quality of life assessment, if you want one.

If you're still weighing the decision, we can talk through your pet's comfort andl wellbeing honestly, with no obligation to proceed.

A calm, unhurried procedure at home.

Your pet stays in their own space throughout. We explain everything as we go and never rush you.

Aftercare arranged for you, if requested.

We handle cremation through PCS Crematoriums, so there's nothing further for you to organise.

The visit, sedation and euthanasia are covered in the price below:

• Cat, rabbit or other small animal and Small dogs (up to 10kg/ 1.5 stone) - £210

• Medium dog (10kg/1.5 stone – 25kg/4 stone) - £240

• Large dog (25kg/4 stone – 40kg/6 stone)-£260

• Extra large dog (40kg/6 stone – 60kg/9 stone)- £280

• Giant dog (60kg+/9 stone+) -£320

Extra charges:

• Crematilon service(communal or private/individual)

Tansport to a chosen crematorium - starting from + £30, dependingon location.

• evening (7–10pm) + £50

• overnight (10pm–7am)+ £100

• Saturdays + £60

• Sundays & bank holidays + £100

• emergency/immediate visit +£100

We're based in Cudworth and travel throughout Barnsley and the surrounding South & West Yorkshire area, including Royston, Darton, Hoyland,Dodworth, Mapplewell, Penistone, Sheffield, Ardsley, Pontefract, Wakefield, Castleford, Doncaster, Ackworth and Durkar.

How do I know if it's time?

There's no single sign — it's usually a combination of things: pain that can't be managed, loss of interest in food or the things they used to enjoy, or more bad days than good.

We're happy to talk this through with you before you decide anything.

Can my family be there?

Yes. This is your goodbye, on your terms — as many people (and other pets, if you'd like) as you want present.

What about cremation?

We arrange this for you through PCS Crematoriums, with individual or communal options depending on what you'd like.
